Paula Renee Olsen, age 44 of Belle Plaine, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2019 in Nashville, TN. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Monday at St. John Lutheran Church and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Paula was born in Humboldt, IA on November 11, 1974 to Jim and Debra (Shugar) Garrison. She grew up in Waterloo, IA and at the age of 10 moved to Belle Plaine.

She graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1993 and went to school for cosmetology. She has worked as a stylist in Savage and Belle Plaine for many years, most recently opened the Hair Loft in Belle Plaine. Paula loved nothing more than being with her family and friends.

She loved her people, especially her husband, two daughters and her grandbaby with an energic personality, beautiful little smile and contagious giggle. Paula easily made friends wherever she went. Whether Paula was making someone feel special/beautiful in her salon chair, re-decorating her house/or someone elses, cheering loudly from the bleachers, loading the juke box or pulling up a barstool and taking over the karaoke machine for the night.

Paula loved life to the fullest with absolutely no regrets! She is survived by her husband, Rick, Daughters, Kayla (Justin) Buszmann & Charli Jo Stier, Granddaughter, Blakely Buszmann, Parents, Debra Garrison and Jim Garrison Jr., Brother, Gary Garrison, Jason (April) Stier and their daughter, Riley.
