Obituary for Sophie Kuchy (Klaus) Sophie E. Kuchy, 96, lifelong resident of the Enfield community, entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Sophie was born in the Scitico section of Enfield on October 11, 1922, the loving daughter of the late Joseph and Bernice (Zerzuto) Klaus. Sophie was a faithful communicant of St. Martha Church in Enfield.

In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, tending to her garden and shopping. Sophie will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. She had a big heart and was one to always put others in front of herself.

Sophie is survived by her two daughters, Carol Tracy of Enfield, and Marilyn Poisson and her husband, Jon of Bernardston, MA; a granddaughter, Stephanie Tracy; a sister, Johanna Fregeau and her husband, Philip of Longmeadow, MA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Klaus; and two sisters, Mary Satkowski and Emily Vozek. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Aides at Evergreen for their care, especially to Becky Nash for going above and beyond.
