Obituary for Stanley “Stan” Stanton Smith Stanley “Stan” Stanton Smith, age 80, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2018. He was born on March 5, 1938 in Columbus, OH to the late Charles and Ruth (Hoover) Smith. He proudly served in the US Air Force.

Stan had a strong work ethic and enjoyed working at the Marriott of Dublin for many years. His work family there meant a lot to him, and they loved him dearly as well. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger.

Stan is survived by son, Greg (Mary) Smith; brother, Ronald (Faye) Smith; sister-in-law, Jo Mae; dear friend, Roni McCurdy; beloved dog, Jojo; and many other dear friends and family. A memorial service for Stan will be held at the Marriot in Dublin. Pastor Dennis George officiating.
