Funeral services for Stanley Wayne Franklin, age 58 of Mt. Airy, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev.

Tony Goss officiating. Interment will follow the service in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Mr. Franklin passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Born in Stephens County on October 26, 1960, Mr. Franklin was the son of Virginia C. Eller and the late P. Q. Franklin. Mr. Franklin was a sawmiller and right of way cutter and he was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, Mr. Franklin is preceded in death by Richard Keith Franklin. Survivors include his mother Virginia C. Eller of Clarkesville, daughter Amber Franklin of Johnson City, Tennessee, sister and brother in law Pam and Wendell Wooley of Clarkesville, grandson Jacob Connelly of Johnson City, Tennessee, niece & spouse Amanda and Dustin Vandergriff of Demorest.
