Obituary of Stephen Wilhelm Stephen Ray Wilhelm, age 70, of Denton died Tuesday, December 18, 2018. Mr. Wilhelm was born July 27, 1948 to Ray and Ruby Wilhelm. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and was retired from Wal-Mart.

Stephen enjoyed good conversation with anyone he met and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed surf and trout fishing and camping. He also tried his hand at flint knapping and gold panning.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Wilhelm. He is survived by sister, Susan Bowyer and husband Greg of Lexington, VA; son, Arin Wilhelm and wife Anna of Salisbury; grandchildren, Joseph Wilhelm and wife Brianna of Pelham, TN, Aaron Wilhelm of Denton, Morrigan Wilhelm of Salisbury, Sterling Wilhelm of Salisbury. The family will receive friends Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6 – 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 505 S. Park St., Asheboro with Rev. Doug Hefner officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2211 W. Meadowview Rd. , Greensboro, NC 27407.
