Obituary of Bobby Smith Candor – Bobby Ray Smith, age 82, passed away Friday, December 15, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Smith was born in Montgomery County on January 8, 1936, to Arthur and Cora Belle Glasgow Smith. He was a retired automobile mechanic and a volunteer fireman with Candor Fire Department.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Leona Davis. He is survived by his wife, Nervie Goins Smith, of the home; daughters, Doris Maebelle Tucker of Candor, Brandy Chappell Morse of Troy, and daughter/caregiver, Stacy Callicutt, of Ellerbe; sons, Ray Anthony Smith of Candor, Randy Lee Smith of Candor, and David Matthew Smith of Candor; sister, Alice Bowman of Candor; brother, Alvin Smith of Candor; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home in Star.

The funeral service arrangements will be posted tomorrow.
