Obituary of Gloria Shackleford Gloria Jean Oxendine Charlton Shackleford, age 75, of Red Springs went to be with her heavenly father Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Shackleford was born December 16, 1942 the daughter of James Douglas and Jessie Lee Berry Oxendine. Gloria was a native of Pembroke and a 1960 graduate of Pembroke High School.

She had worked in furniture industry at various companies and at Daniels Bakery in Pembroke. Gloria attended Mt. Elam Pentecostal Holiness Church in Red Springs and Mt.

Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pembroke. She enjoyed gospel music, word search, cooking, sewing and playing bingo and going to bible study with her friends from Providence Place Apartments. .

Gloria was the 3rd of 5 children. In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Wicker and brother, Kenneth Oxendine. She is survived by one daughter: Tammy Moore of Randleman; grandchildren, Clayton Ray Moore and Carson Lee Moore; brother: Freddie Oxendine of Pembroke.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 14, 2018 from 11:45 – 12:45 at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.

The family would like to give a “special thanks” to the oncologist, Dr. Todd Moore of Pinehurst for his exceptional care given to Gloria over the past 10 years and to her friends and family that have prayed for her over the yeqars.
