Steven A Collin , July 01, 1989 — March 04, 2019

Steven A. Collin, of Fairfield, N.J., passed away suddenly on March 4, 2019 at the age of 29. Born in Russia, Steven lived in Bayonne briefly before settling in Fairfield where he resided for most of his life. He attended Saint Aloysius Grammar School and was a 2009 graduate of West Es Regional High School, both in Caldwell, N.J.

He then went on to receive his associate’s degree from the Institute for Audio Research in NYC. For many years Steven worked as a landscaper for the Aiello Landscaping Company in Nutley, where he took pride in his craft of enhancing homes and businesses. He had a passion for listening to music of all types and enjoyed watching old movies.

He is survived by his mother Catherine M. (Lapinski) Collin R.N.; his father Dr. Robert Collin M.D.; his brother Alex Collin; and many dear friends. A memorial mass with Steven’s ashes present will be held on Saturday, March 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell, N.J. Cremation was private. I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun, Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
