Obituary for Stuart A. Mendenhall It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Stuart Alan Mendenhall, age 63, announces his passing on Friday, November 23, 2018 at his home in Springfield, MI. He was born March 18, 1955 in Tokyo, Japan the son of Harry E. Mendenhall and Audrey L.(Wood) Mendenhall. He Co/owned and operated the “Morris House” AFC for Veterans from 2007 until the present.

He married Molly J. Cummins Morris in October 2012. Stuart enlisted in the U S Marine Corps in 1974 attained the rank of Corporal and was awarded the Rifle Marksman Badge, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged 1977.

He graduated from Samuel Ayers High School in Milpitas, CA, studied Business at Stanford University, and Business and Communication at The University of Maryland. , Annapolis Rescue Stuart is survived by his wife: Molly J. Mendenhall of Springfield, MI; his mother; Audrey (Wood) Mendenhall of Milpitas, California; step-sons: Dustin C. Morris of Chicago, IL; Joshua J. Morris of Battle Creek, MI; two brothers: Steve A. Mendenhall and Scott A. Mendenhall both of Milpitas, CA; two sisters: Sue A. Bobbin of Rescue CA; and Sarah A. & Geoff Peacock of Livermore, California. He was preceded in death by his father died in 1995 and a step daughter Hayley Morris Pruitt on Dec.

of 2013. Stuart enjoyed reading, photography’ watching movies especially Sci Fi, talking with the Veterans at their home, liked tinkering with small engines, cars and others. He loved animals and cooking.

He was fascinated with astronomy and looking at the stars, No visitation is planned at the funeral home. Graveside memorial services will be Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11 AM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery with Josh Hydrick officiating. Military honors provided by the Fort Custer National Cemetery Honor Guard, his cremains will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
