Obituary for Jordan Spasenovski Jordan Spasenovski, 93, of Battle Creek died early morning of Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. Jordan was born on January 16, 1926 in Orlanci, Macedonia. He married his wife Spasenija (Chana) of 63 years in 1955.
He worked 17 years overseas as a general machinist. He also was deeply passionate about music and enjoyed playing the guitar and accordion. When he moved to the United States in 1964, he then worked a 22-year long career at Clark Equipment as a machinist, where he retired from in 1986.
He helped build St. Elias Orthodox Church where he was also a member for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed repairing Grandfather clocks and watches, seeding plants and gardening, making handmade purses, wallets and key chains out of leather, preparing homemade Burek along with spending time with his wife, Spasenija (Chana) and family. Jordan lived a happy fulfilling life always telling stories of his life and giving words of wisdom and advice.
He is survived by his wife Spasenija (Tomanovic) Spasenovski, three daughters: Biljana Spasenovski, Milica and son-in-law: Milan Vasic, Vesna and Velimir Radonjic; grandchildren: Nikola and Kristina Vasic, Nemanja, Natasa and Sonja Radonjic, nephew: Miroslav Tomanovic, sister-in-law: Senka (Cavor) Fettig; other relatives Ivan, Branka, Milica, Tamara, Lana and Cedomir Tomic. He was preceded in death by his father: Stojmir Spasenovski, mother: Natalija (Kundevski) Spasenovski, brothers: Jovance and Branko Spasenovski, sisters: Mladica (Spasenovski) Ivanovic, Paraskeva Spasenovski, brother-in-law: Milan Tomanovic, three nieces: Marina Tomanovic, Vesna (Tomanovic) Glogovac, Radica; nephew: Cedo Kirsanov, cousin: Milan Pop-Simjanovski, and brother-in-law: David Fettig. The Spasenovski family would like to extend an extra thank you to all of those who have cared for Jordan at CareWell Services, Home Care Transitions, Great Lakes Home Care, Marian E. Burch, Dr. Jasmine Oliver, Dr. Rakesh Bhan, and Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 3-6pm following the Panikhida at 6pm at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Memorial services will be held at St. Elias Orthodox Church at 5066 “B” Drive South on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11AM, officiating will be The Very Rev. Archpriest Lawrence Bacik.
A luncheon will be held at the church following graveside services. Flower arrangements can be sent to Bachman Hebble Funeral Service and memorial donations may be made out to St. Elias Orthodox Church.
