Passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. Richard was born on October 9, 1932, the son of Grace M. (Shay) Lee and Robert E. Lee. He was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School in 1950.

Richard served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was united in marriage to Elnora K. Peck on August 23, 1953, she preceded him in death. He enjoyed wintering in Leesburg, FL, until his illness in 2013.

Richard was employed by Michigan Bell which changed to AT&T for 30 years retiring in 1985. He enjoyed traveling with his wife taking many cruises and bus trips. Richard liked to attend dances with Elnora.

He played cards and loved to golf. He also enjoyed fishing and watching PGA golf on TV. Surviving is a daughter, Karen K. Hreha; 3 grandchildren, Krista (Ben) Brown, Ben (Bobbi) Ward and Tim (Ashley) Ward; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Alberta (Lee) Chester and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda M. (Lee) Ward; brothers, Glenn E. Lee, Harold E. Lee and Ross E. Lee; sisters, Frances Lee, Lenora Lee and Marjorie (Lee) Hodge. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. www.
