Kerris, 61, of 165 Montour Road, Elysburg, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at her daughter’s residence in Venetia, PA surrounded by her family. Born in Shamokin on February 25, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Rita Cooper. Susan was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School.

She married Robert J. Kerris Jr. who survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Elysburg. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Robert J. Kerris III and his wife Beth of Maryland; daughter Kelly Gayed and her husband Bishoy of Venetia, PA; two brothers, Richard Cooper and his wife Cheryl of Kulpmont and Matthew Cooper and his wife Beverly of Mount Carmel; grandson, Grant Gayed; granddaughter, Annelies Kerris; as well as nieces and nephews. Susan A. Kerris, 61, of 165 Montour Road, Elysburg – Funeral mass will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 11:00am, the rosary will be recited at 10:30am, at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 599 West Center Street Elysburg, PA 17824, with Father Joseph T. Scanlin, officiating. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing.

Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Arrangements are being cared for by C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., C.J. Lucas IV, supervisor.
