Susan Louise Welsh , August 22, 1952 — April 23, 2018

Susan Louise Welsh, 65, of Pryor, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at her home. She was born on August 22, 1952 in Pryor; the daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Killion) Callison. Susan grew up and raised her family in Adair and moved to the country in Pryor in 2003.

She worked as an LPN most of her life at the Oklahoma Forensic Center and had a heart for helping people. She… Read More » loved to have family gatherings and for many years her family and friends knew that on Friday night, Susan would have steak night at her home for them to enjoy.

She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cherished each moment she had with them. Susan enjoyed playing solitaire on her phone, and after retirement, enjoyed watching ION television, which played Criminal Minds and CSI. She had watched every episode they had, several times.

She was a wonderful mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Holestine officiating. Burial will follow in the Benge Cemetery with Tommy Kelley, Carl Anderson, Eric Welsh, Shannon Haff, Todd Prather, and Robbie Evans serving as casket bearers.

Susan is survived by her daughters, Tammie Welsh and Tommy Kelley of Pryor, Oklahoma and Sherrie Welsh – Anderson and husband Carl of Collinsville, Oklahoma; sisters, Connie Haff of Claremore, Oklahoma and Bonnie Merrill and husband Tood of Pryor, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Welsh; parents, Kenneth and Helen Callison; daughter, Carrie Welsh; grandchild, Jaden Anderson and brother, Kenny Callison.
