Susan Marie Miller was welcomed at heaven’s gate into the outstretched arms of her precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 2, 2019. She passed away peacefully in her home after a long fight with Alzheimer’s. She was 75.

Born June 13, 1943 in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Stewart M. and Jeune A. (Pfaff) Sell. She was the loving wife of Jack A. Miller with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Susan was a 1961 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover, PA and a 1962 of Central Penn Business School, Harrisburg, PA Susan was a talented pianist and organist and played for services at Harmony Grove Church in Dover, Countryside Church in East Berlin and at Lighthouse Church (formerly Dover Bible Church in Dover, PA) Susan taught children’s Sunday school classes for 10 years at Calvary Bible Church.

She loved to cook for her family. She especially enjoyed being with her eleven grandchildren. She worked as the secretary and bookkeeper for the family business of Miller’s Roofing for 38 years.

What she will be remembered most for is her unwavering faith in her Heavenly Father. She was a prayer warrior for many people including friends, friends of friends and missionaries, but especially her family. Each day in prayer she mentioned each family member by name for protection, health and that they would have a desire to love and serve the Lord.

Susan will be greatly missed but her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. In addition to her husband Jack, Susan is survived by three children, Wendy S. Young and husband Timothy of York, PA, Michele E. Sensenig and husband Kevin of Mountville, PA and Joshua J. Miller and wife Rachel of Dillsburg, PA, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joanna M. Miller, who passed away at the age of 5. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Megan J. Young, Caleb R. Young, Austin A. Sensenig, Breanne E. Sensenig, Zachary R. Sensenig, Elleanna M. Sensenig, T. Evan Sensenig, Garett S. Sensenig, Sierra J. Miller, Kylie J. Miller, and Jaren J. Miller.

A service to celebrate and remember Susan’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Gary Mills officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.

A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the funeral home. The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.
