OBITUARY Susan Wendel October 23, 1940 – December 18, 2018 Waynesville, NC – Susan A. Wendel, age 78, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Dayton, OH on October 23, 1940 to the late Frank and Gladys Miller. Left to cherish her memory are James R. Wendel, husband of 54 years and three sons, James, Mike, and Dan Wendel; six grandchildren, Mike, Nathan, Jordan, Arron, Bobby, and Frankie.

Susan and her husband lived in Waynesville and Haywood County since 1995 when James retired from G.M. Susan was a volunteer at Haywood Regional Hospital before she became ill. A celebration of her life will be held at her home privately. Garrett Funeral Home is caring for the family.
