Suzanne Scaccia April 28, 1920 – February 01, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Suzanne Scaccia, age 98, a resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Windsor Park in Carol Stream, Illinois. She was born April 28, 1920 in New York, NY to Robert and Sarah Luthi. Sue graduated from Proviso East High School.

While attending art school she met Maurice Scaccia and they were married on August 30, 1941. They raised two sons in Lombard where she worked for School District 44. She retired as secretary to the Superintendent.

She enjoyed singing and sang with the Treblaires and the Silvertones in Wheaton. An active member of the Wheaton Park District Senior Center, she participated in Tap Dancing and Tai Chi. Until recent years, she was a member of a bowling league.

She is survived by her son, Philip (Carolyn) Scaccia of Lake Forest, daughter-in-law, Eilah Scaccia, granddaughters, Maren Scaccia and Jenna Scaccia, great-granddaughters, Olive and Juniper Werner and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice in 1998, one son, Michael, her sister, Alice Carlson and brother, Robert Luthi. Services will be held at a later date.
