Terry Lee Ank, 87, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his home. He was born February 16, 1932 in Blair, Nebraska to Geoge Terry and Wilma Elizabeth Edgecombe Ank. Lee and Dorothy Mae Koessel were married November, 6, 1966 at Cape Girardeau.

He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Men’s Club in Cape Girardeau. He was an active member of American Legion Post 63.

He was also a member of IBEW Union Local #1 in St. Louis, MO. Lee was very involved with his grandchildren’s activities. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ank; one daughter, Charlene Ank of Pollack Pines, California; two sons, Randolph Ank of Grizzly Flat, California and Anthony Ank of Cape Girardeau; brother-in-law, Carl Koessel of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren, Erica (Adam) Burke, Shelly (Richard) Bradford, Addison Ank and Sahvanna Ank.

Lee is also survived by nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Michelle Ank, and two sisters. Visitation will be 9:00 am to 10:00 am Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will follow at 10:00 am Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Private inurnment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri at a later date.
