Terry Lynn Schlein was born November 23, 1960, in Duncan, to Billy Blaine and Renee Marie (Eaton) Schlein. He finished his earthly journey on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the age of 58. Family visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 4, 2019, at 5:30-7:00P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, at 9:30A.M. at the Westside Christian Church, with Jerl Joslin, Refresh Ministries of Oklahoma City, officiating. Burial will follow at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.

Terry graduated from Duncan High School in 1979. He attended jeweler’s school in San Antonio, Texas, and also prepared for the ministry at North West University. He married the love of his life, Gina Kay Otey, on April 29, 1983, in Chickasha.

To this union, two daughters were born – Sheena and Shana. He owned and operated Schlein Jewelry, which was established as Eaton Jewelry by his grandparents, L.E. and Pearl Eaton. He also served as the pastor at Westside Christian Church.

He enjoyed fishing and watching college football, especially the OU Sooners. Terry loved his family and enjoyed visiting with them and his many friends. Terry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gina Kay; children, Sheena and husband Jeff Johnson of Duncan, and Shana and husband Matthew McCoy of Kenai, Alaska; grandchildren, Blaine Johnson, Carter Johnson, and Beckett McCoy; and sister, Sharla and husband Nathan Tate of Blanchard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, William and Zee Schlein and L.E. and Pearl Eaton. Memorial contributions in Terry’s name can be made to the Westside Christian Church ministry. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.
