Obituary for Theresa DeMicco Ortega Port Orange, Fla – Theresa DeMicco Ortega, 63, former Mechanicville resident, died Saturday, Dec 1st, at Halifax Hospice facility in Port Orange, from breast cancer that first presented itself in 2015. Born in Troy, Sept 21, 1955 daughter of the late Mauro “Flash” and Marcella DeMicco, Terri attended local schools and Assumption-St. Paul Church in Mechanicville. She lived in Saratoga Springs and Gansevoort, moving to Florida in 2006.

Terri worked for Wal-Mart for over 23 years as a cashier and sales associate. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren, she was the sweetest and most helpful person to any and all. Terri had the most positive attitude and always a smile on her face, she was truly loved by her family and co-workers and will be surely missed.

In addition to her parents, Terri was also sadly predeceased by her husband Miguel in 2011 and her son Louis J. DiNuzzo IV in 2016. Survivors include her loving daughter, Anna and Daniel Gibbs of Port Orange, grandkids: Natasha, Tyler, Ryan, Joshua and Madison and daughter-in-law Amy DiNuzzo. Siblings include sisters Agnes LaVigna, Janis Strattner and brother William DeMicco and their families.
