Thomas A. Kemble, 68, of Milan, died Thursday, November 22, 2018 at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be 2 pm Sunday at the Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Avenue, Rock Island.

Visitation will be from 1-2 pm Sunday at the Knox Chapel. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Thomas was born in Rock Island on September 15, 1950.

He married Rebecca Stewart in 1972. They divorced. He later married Jean Cannon.

Thomas loved driving a truck and worked the last 45 years for Amhof Trucking in Eldridge, Iowa. He was a member of the Rock Island Moose Lodge 190 and enjoyed woodworking. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jean Kemble; children, Heather (Josh) Lewis, Milan, Vicki L. (Scott) Bowers, Rock Island and Patrick (Zena) Kemble, Clinton, Ill.

; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson, Bennett Schoeve; two sisters, Mary (William) Leistiko and Edith Graves; numerous nieces and nephews; and a brother from another mother, Rev. Dr. Melvin Grimes. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Donna Boyle and Barbara Ray.
