Thomas Anthony Abramski, Sr., 86, of Toms River, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 6, 2019. He was born in Newark, NJ to the late Walter and Cecelia Abramski. Upon his graduation from Bloomfield Technical School, where he studied Airplane Mechanics, Tom served in the US Army 3rd ID, known as the Old Guard, during the Korean War.

During his service, he served on the Presidential Honor Guard for President Dwight D. Eisenhower, which he was always very proud of. Tom owned and operated Miracle Plumbing Supply in Toms River. He also worked for Toms River Chemical as well as a distributor for Thumann’s.

Tom enjoyed watching sports and especially loved rooting for the Yankees. He was lovingly known as Pop Pop to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his son Matthew and his sister Helen Wolff.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Rita Abramski, his daughter Linda Abramski of Brick, his son Thomas A. Abramski, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Beachwood, his grandchildren Thomas and his wife Katie, Melissa and her husband Boomer, Alicia and her husband Joe, Renee and Frankie, his great grandchildren Thomas, Carly, Leah, Aubree, Joey, Blake, Carson and Chase and his brother Edmund. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Interfaith Hospitality Network of Ocean County, Inc. 407 Lexington Ave. Toms River, NJ 08753.
