Thomas Garry Barnes, 74, of Florence, died September 01, 2018 at Florence Nursing and Rehab Center. He was a retired Church of Christ minister, a member of Florence Blvd. Church of Christ, and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel with Vance Hutton and Mark Posey officiating. Burial will follow in Cloverdale Church of Christ Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Desirae Hope Chapin; parents, Sumpter Barnes and Lula Barnes; sister, Mary Ellen Gray. Survivors include his wife, Linda Barnes; daughters, Debra Chapin (Neal) and Sondra Barnes; sisters, Helen Graham and Margret Madison; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cemetery Fund of Cloverdale Church of Christ.
