Michael David Smith, 62, of Florence, passed away October 10, 2018 at Helen Keller Hospital. He was a firefighter for the City of Russellville. Visitation will be Friday, October 12, 2018 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.

The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Kerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery, Russellville, AL. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Rev.

Elmer and Ophelia Smith. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia O’Bryant Smith; sons, David Smith (Melinda), and Daniel Smith; daughters, Leslie Whitten (Justin), Michaela Roberts (Sawyer); brothers, Gary, Ronnie, and Donnie Smith; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joe Mansell, Justin Green, Randy Seal, Aubrey Harris, Bois Porter, and Doug Hatton.
