Obituary for Thomas J Giancristoforo Jr. Thomas J. Giancristoforo, Jr., 64 Executive Director, Community Transit of Delaware County Inc. On December 11th, 2018, Thomas J. Giancristoforo Jr. passed away with his family around him after a long battle with kidney/heart failure. A lifelong resident of Tinicum Township, Tom graduated from Interboro High School in 1972. Tom worked as the Executive Director at Community Transit of Delaware County, Inc., was the First Ward Commissioner and President of the Board of Commissioners in Tinicum Township, Chairman of the Republican Party of Tinicum Township, and was the current President of Tinicum Township Fire Company.

Tom was a dedicated public servant, with a lifelong commitment as a fireman, working every position he could in the fire service up to and including Fire Chief of Essington Fire Co. Tom was a member of multiple groups, clubs, and organizations. Tom enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and enjoying his vacation home in Wildwood, NJ. Tom is predeceased by his father, Thomas J. Giancristoforo Sr. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; his children Thomas Giancristoforo III, Gina Giancristoforo, and Joseph Watkins; his mother Lucy; siblings Stephen Giancristoforo and Cindy Joseph; nephew Roger Joseph and three grandchildren.

Viewing will be held Monday, December 17th, 2018 between 8am-12:45pm at Tinicum Township Fire Company, 99 Wanamaker Ave. Services will be held at 1pm at the Lazaretto Ballroom (adjoining the firehouse) with funeral procession and internment to follow at St. Peter and Paul’s Cemeteryy in Marple Township. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Tom’s name to the Tinicum Township Fire Co, 99 Wanamaker Ave, Essington PA 19029.
