Thomas L. Byers, 74, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 8:58 pm in Union Hospital. He was retired from PSI. Thomas was born March 10, 1944 in Terre Haute to Thomas Byers and Garnett (Muncy) Byers.

He is survived by daughters, Melissa Wrightsman (James). Julie Cox (Jerry), and Lisa Walecki (Mark); sons, Kevin Byers, David Lewis, and David Byers (Susie); a sister, Marla Newport (Danny); grandchildren, Justin Wrightsman, Matt Byers, Stephanie Gilbert, Shane Alkire, Jeremiah Corban, Stephanie Stiles, Tiffanie Corban, Hillary Pair, Macee Byers, Amanda Byers, David Lewis IV, Kayla Lewis, and Trenten Lewis, and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marsha Byers, who died February 23, 2003, and a grandson, Jake Byers.

Thomas was a US Air Force veteran. He was also the Fire Crew Chief at the Terre Haute Action Track, a volunteer fireman with the Otter Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the American legion and the Eagles Lodge and he was a long-time bowler.

Visitation will be Sunday November 18, 2018 from 3:00 until 6:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 6:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.
