Thomas’ Obituary Thomas Murphy passed away at age 67. He was born in Louisville on Christmas day as the first child of Thomas and Bettie Sue Murphy. As a child he would say, we celebrate Jesus’ birthday until noon on Christmas Day, then mine.

He was raised in the Methodist Church. He started school early and was always one of the brightest in class. His family relocated many times for his father’s employment before settling in Detroit, Michigan where he graduated from High School and College at Michigan State where he earned a BA in Psychology.

He worked for the United States Postal Service. He relocated back to Louisville when his parents retired. He enjoyed drawing and painting.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jack Patton Murphy. He is survived by many cousins who will miss him, his wit and his loving heart. Graveside Service on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10 am central time/11 am Eastern time at Horse Cave Cemetery in Horse Cave, Kentucky.
