Obituary of Thomas Ranalli Thomas L. Ranalli 84 of the Town of Poughkeepsie died Friday August 31, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Poughkeepsie on April 21, 1934, he was the son of the late Liborio and the late Helen Capano Ranalli. Thomas was a local resident all of his life; he was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

On October 4, 1958 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Thomas married Mary M. DeBellis who survives at home. Thomas worked as a Senior System Analysts Design Architect at IBM until his retirement in 1991. Thomas is survived by his wife Mary at home in Poughkeepsie, his two children Thomas V. Ranalli and his wife Lee Ann of Buckeye Arizona, Julie A. Lucia of Poughkeepsie, New York, his three grandchildren Daniel Lucia and his fiancé Brianna Penney, Anthony L. Lucia and Christopher T. Lucia.

Thomas is also survived by his step grandson Nicholas H. Moody, his two sister in-laws Gloria Ossolinski and her husband Edward of Poughkeepsie, New York, Yolanda DeBellis of Poughkeepsie, New York and his two brother in-laws Thomas DeBellis and his wife Carole of Lagrange, New York and Robert DeBellis and his wife Marie DeBellis of Raleigh, North Carolina. In keeping with Thomas wishes there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Thursday September 6, 2018 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Poughkeepsie, burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The family ask that memorial donations in Thomas name be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or to Hudson Valley Hospice 374 Violet Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12601. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave.
