Thomas Richard Pekrol, 56, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 18, 2019. He was born October 30, 1962 in Newark, NJ to the late William Pekrol, Sr. and June Delores Hendrickson Pekrol. Thomas honorably served his country in the US Army.

He loved nature and found comfort in the mountains, beach, or his many trips to Falls Lake. He enjoyed sitting for hours staring at the stars and chatting with his children. He was a softball coach for not only his daughters, but many young women that still speak fondly of his love and commitment to them.

He was a man with a broad knowledge of many things. He valued our country and took great pride in leading many successful diverse political debate pages via FB. He enjoyed connecting with people from all over the world.

He loved taking his children and grandchildren fishing. He was always their biggest fans in life. His ultimate love in life was his family.

His children and grandchildren are what kept him going. His heart was full of love for them. He is survived by his children: Mrs. Melissa Phillips and husband Joseph “Danny” Phillips of Clayton, Vanessa Pekrol of Meadville, PA, Nicole, Calzaretta of Knightdale, and Mr. Thomas Pekrol and wife Amanda Pekrol of Puyallup, WA; grandchildren: Alexis Phillips, Andrew Phillips, Taryn Phillips, Adley Phillips, Talon Phillips all of Clayton, Mason Clark of Meadville, PA, Jeremy Pekrol of Puyallup, WA; great-grandson Colton Byrd; ex-wife and close friend Joanna McCluskey.

He is also survived by his loving siblings: sisters: Donna Pekrol and wife Linda Tsui of Cedar Grove, NJ, Sharon Pekrol and wife Antoinette Cadacio of Toms River, NJ; brother David Pekrol of Johnsonburg, PA; sister-in-law Ann Pekrol and brother-in-law Tony Pekalski; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: William Pekrol Jr., Brian Pekrol; and sister Darlene Pekalski.
