OBITUARY Thomas Troy Stanger May 22, 1971 – January 16, 2019 Thomas Troy Stanger, age 47 of Deerfield, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at his home. He was born May 22, 1971, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to parents Janita (Gabor) and Thomas J. Stanger. Troy was a Union Carpenter for 22 years as part of Akron Local 639/285.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Ravenna Rod & Gun Club. Troy is survived by his mother and step-father Janita and Earl Johnson, his siblings: Clay (Ralinda) Stanger, Valerie (Greg) Bokar, and Michael (Jennifer) Johnson, along with many loving nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received Monday, January 21, 2019, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor David Ballert at 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna.

Interment will follow at Edinburg Cemetery, and a time of fellowship afterwards at the Ravenna Rod & Gun Club, 5151 Hattrick Rd. , Ravenna, OH 44266. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.
