Tomoyoshi Okada passed away on July 17th, 2018 surrounded by family. He was born on February 17th, 1954 in Fuchu, Hiroshima, Japan. He moved to the United States in Salt Lake City, Utah in the 80s and truly lived the ‘American Dream.

’ Happily married for 32 years with Hiromi Shibuya and have three wonderful kids, Kentaro Okada (son), Emily Okada Kim (daughter) and Erica Okada (daughter). Tomoyoshi’s life brought happiness and great memories around family and friends by playing the piano, fishing, golfing, skiing, etc. He was an exceptional chef and has given smiles throughout his years serving with Kyoto Japanese Restaurant and Benihana.

Tomoyoshi will be deeply missed, but we hope that he is watching above us and know he is in peace with our ancestors. To follow his wishes, there will be no funeral or viewing services. A small cremation service was held only among family and close friends.
