Tonita Marie Gholston of Taylor, Michigan July 14, 1966 – February 6, 2019 GHOLSTON, Ms. Tonita Marie-age 52, formerly of Flint, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at her residence in Taylor, MI. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday, February 15, 2019 with a 10:00am family hour at Vermont Christian Church 1201 Lippincott Blvd. , Flint, MI 48503.

The final resting place for Ms. Gholston will be Gracelawn Cemetery, Flint, MI. Tonita Marie Gholston was born Tonita Marie Pearson on July 14, 1966 in Flint, MI to Alice Pearson and Thomas Pearson. She was the oldest of four children, with two younger brothers, Troy Pearson and Thomas Pearson and a younger sister, Trachelle Young.

Tonita resided in Taylor, MI but was a former resident of Flint. She was employed as a social worker at Team Mental Health. She received a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University.

A true believer in God, she was a member of Vermont Christian Church in Flint, MI. She thrived on helping others and enjoyed traveling and socializing. Tonita was preceded in death by: father, Thomas Pearson and step-father, Columbus Evans.
