Stanley Stoker July 31, 1943 – February 09, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card STOKER, Stanley H. – Of Destin, Florida, formerly of Flint, age 75, died Friday, February 8, 2019. Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Memorial visitation 2 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Stanley was born in Flint, Michigan on July 31, 1943, the son of Howard and Lillian (Hale) Stoker. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during the Vietnam War.

Stanley was employed for over 40 years at General Motors and was a member of the UAW. He retired as a UAW International Servicing Representative. After retirement he moved to Florida to enjoy sunshine and beaches.

He loved playing golf, reading books and going to Waffle House to make friends. Surviving are sons, Jason Stoker and Grant (Dawn) Stoker; grandchildren, Avalon and Aidan Stoker; sister, Ann Stoker Robertson of TN; brother, Troy (Barb) Stoker; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Darrell) Bowlin, Karl (Paula) McKennon and David (Patricia) McKennon, Rayeann (Kenny) Mauck of TN and Brent (Dina) Robertson of TN; and special friends, The Abdulvalieva Family and the Berry Family of Destin and Panama City, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lillian Stoker.
