Tony Madison Gettys January 17, 1955 – January 03, 2019 Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Tony Gettys Gaffney, SC – – Tony Madison Gettys, 63, of 341 Ben’s Farm Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Gaffney, he was the companion of Marsha Kirkman and son of the late William Arthur Gettys, Jr. and Margaret Lemmons Gettys Robbs. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and retired from Hoechst Celanese.

He loved the game of golf and played for Gaffney High School and Hargrove Military Academy. Tony also loved his family, fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Anthony Marcus Gettys of Gaffney and David Michael Gettys and wife, Charlotte of Spartanburg; two sisters, Gay Gettys Guthrie and Lorrie Gettys Morris, both of Gaffney; several grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Milan Gettys. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.

Martin Hogg and Rev. Wil Owen officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family will be at their respective homes. An online guest register is available at www.
