Obituary for Mr. Torrie Lynard McGee Torrie Lynard McGee, was born June 21, 1976, in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Vernell Adams and Vicky McGee. He departed this life unexpectedly, Sunday, December 30, 2018, at the age of 42. Reared in a family nurtured with spirituality and love, Torrie accepted Christ as his personal Savior, at an early age and was baptized at the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor Jeremiah Blow.
Torrie sung in the kids choir, he sung louder than everyone else and off key. Torrie attended the Muskegon Heights Public School System and The Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, MI. He was very active in basketball, football and even coached youth football.
Torrie was very active in sports. He graduated from Muskegon Heights High School with the class of 1995. Torrie had a heart of gold, he would give you the shirt off his back.
Also, he had a real compassion for his family and people in general. He leaves to cherish his memories Three daughters: Torrie Mykia of Muskegon, MI, Sha’Tiah and Sha’Niah of Lansing, MI; one granddaughter, Jersey Trotter of Muskegon, MI; Mother Vicky Kitchen of Muskegon, MI: Five Sisters, Aretha (James) Harris of Muskegon, MI, Sharon Kitchen of Texarkana, TX, Melissa Adams of Chicago, IL, LeAnn Adams and Adriane Adams both of Hawaii; Nine aunts, Pamela (Michael) Rickman of Nashville, TN, Gale McGee and Angela (Gregory) Taylor both of Muskegon Heights, MI, Tracy (Rickie) Banks of Muskegon, MI, Charlotte Bolden of Grand Rapids, MI, Marilyn Adams of Milwaukee, WI, Maxine Adams of Grand Rapids, MI, Pamela Adams of San Diego, Ca, and Carolyn Adams of Austin, TX; Great aunt, Irene Pearce of Muskegon Heights, MI; Five uncles, Estus (Rolanda) McGee, Jr. of Muskegon Heights, Paul Adams of Indianapolis, IN, Mitchell (Faye) Adams of Rochester, NY, Darnell (Joyce) Adams of Grand Rapids, MI and Curtis (Jackie) Adams of Muskegon, MI; God-dad, Frederick Morris and special friend, Shantilya Carter and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernell Adams; maternal grandparents, Calloway and Wilma McGee; paternal grandparents Paul and Rosemary Adams.
