Our sweet Trudy returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 23rd, leaving behind her husband and three beautiful daughters. Trudy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 20, 1978 to Jay and Gay Larsen. She was raised in West Bountiful and graduated from Bountiful High School.
For 18 months from June 1999 until December 2000, Trudy served honorably in the LDS Minneapolis St. Paul Mission. She married Luis Cruz and during that brief time she had a beautiful daughter, Alejandra. A short time later she met and married the love of her life, Hans Anderson, on December 11, 2007 and had two more beautiful girls, Autumn and Aspen.
Trudy and Hans celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary last month. Trudy spent her remaining years living in Layton, Utah. She had various church callings including second councilor in the relief society presidency and young women’s leader.
Trudy obtained her bachelor’s degree in business management from Utah State University while raising her three wonderful daughters. She worked as an HR manager at Varian Medical Systems and most recently as an executive consultant for Zurvita. Trudy was a very talented artist and loved spending her free time capturing the beauty of wildlife in many art forms.
During the past school year she was voluntarily teaching art at her daughter’s elementary school. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, and baking, but most of all, Trudy enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She had a vibrant spirit and the most contagious smile and laugh.
If ever there was a selfless person, it was Trudy. She was always putting others needs before her own. She has left a void in the lives of all who knew her.
Trudy is survived by her husband, Hans Anderson; her three daughters, Alejandra, Autumn, and Aspen; parents, Jay and Gay Larsen; in-laws, Blaine and Lonna Anderson; siblings, Brad (Laurie), Brent (Jean), Neal (Amy), Tyler (Rachel); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who love her dearly. She was preceded in death by her niece, Madeline Larsen; grandparents, Francis and Betty Hochstettler; and grandparents Frank and Hazel Larsen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sun Hills Ward, 3290 N. 1050 E., Layton, Utah.
Friends may visit family Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Uintah Cemetery.
