Mr. Vance Long 77, of Nakina died Sunday, October 14, 2018. He was born July 9, 1941 in Columbus County the son of the late Marvin Bryant Long and Ethel Clewis Long. He was a member of Seven Creeks Baptist Church for 54 years where he served as a Deacon, Choir Director, BTU Director, and Custodian.

Mr. Long worked in construction until 1964, was employed with National Spinning for 15 years and Cape Industries in Wilmington for 17 years. He is survived by his wife, Alma Faulk Long of Nakina; a sister, Vera Mae Ward of Crusoe; many nieces & nephews that he dearly loved. His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Seven Creeks Baptist Church by Rev.

Mark Hughes and Rev. Joe Turner. Burial will be in the Stocks Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Seven Creeks Baptist Church 2492 Reaves Ferry Rd. Nakina, NC 28455 Online condolences may be made at www.
