Min. Velveain McMillian Vaughn, a resident of the Flatwood community, answered the Master’s call May 14, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Jackson. Born Aug.

2, 1926 to Lula B. Murphy and George McMillian in Catherine, she was 92 years of age. Velveain was united in Holy Matrimony to Jimmie Vaughn and to this union 12 children were born. She was a member of the Living Church of God in Magnolia, where she served as the assistant pastor.

She loved God and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmie Lee Vaughn Sr.; two children, Alice Vaughn and Lindsey Vaughn; and grandson, Dewayne Kirkwood. She leaves to cherish her her memories 10 children, with devoted and loving daughter Annie G. Kirkwood of Jackson, Lucille (Michael) Harris of St. Louis, MO.

, Helen (Edward) Jones of Marion Junction, Tommie Vaughn, George Vaughn and Mary Hunter, all of Flatwood, Joish (Pamela) Vaughn of Tuscaloosa, Fannie Dennis of Covington, Ga. , Lula Mae (Chris) Greyer of Marietta, Ga. , and Jimmie Lee Vaughn Jr. of Lithonia, Ga.

; 25 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
