Vera L. Morrison, 91 New Middletown: There will be funeral services on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11 am at Green Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3495 Canfield-Niles Road in Canfield with Reverend Mark Bell officiating, for Vera L. Morrison, 91, who passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Vera was born March 14, 1927 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Charles D. and Irene M. (Luker) Snyder. She graduated from South High School.

Vera was a lifelong area resident, living on Oregon Trail and later on Youngstown Pittsburgh Road. Vera was devoted to her loving family and enjoyed sewing. She was a member of Eastern Star.

Vera is survived by her daughter, Alayne C. Ridarsky of New Middletown with whom she made her home; two granddaughters; Christine (Patrick) Rausch of Rochester, New York and Lorraine (Roy) Wonner of New Waterford, Ohio; five great grandchildren, Trey, Collin, Bailey, Adelyn and Zachary and two sisters, Jean D. Layne of Youngstown and Irene F. Baun of Boardman. Besides her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Warren Robert Morrison whom she married on March 16, 1947, died September 12, 2016; three sisters, Dorothea Stanley, Stella V. Lynn and Margaret Oliver and two brothers, Charles S. Snyder and Glenn R. Snyder, Sr. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street in Boardman.
