Sandusky – Private services were held Thursday, April 5, 2018 for Vincent A. Poluse, 98, who died April 3rd in the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. Vincent was born November 4, 1919 in Youngstown and was the son of John and Concetta Wolfe Poluse. He was a 1937 graduate of The Rayen School and a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in WWII.

After the war, he studied the business of jewelry and its repair utilizing the GI Bill. He opened his own jewelry business in downtown Youngstown on Phelps St. and retired in 2012. Vince was very active in local veteran affairs and was known for his quick wit and trendy attire.

He leaves his wife Marlene Hulton whom he married on August 1, 2002; two step children, Brian Hulton of Florida and Melissa Hassett of Maryland; and four step grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Catherine Kulosky whom he married October 23, 1946, died August 28, 1999; his sisters, Rachel and Angela; and his brothers, Rocco, John, and Martin. Vince was entombed in Calvary Cemetery.
