Betty J. Hudak, 85 Youngstown: There will be funeral services on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street with Rev. Pat Christ and Rev. Kelsey Orosan officiating for Betty J. Hudak, 85, who passed away Wednesday evening, May 2, 2018 with her family by her side.

Betty was born August 10, 1932 in Youngstown, the daughter of Alex and Helen (Mishanic) Hnatiw. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and was a lifelong area resident of the Youngstown area. Betty was a member of Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a member of United Methodist Women, the Mother’s Club, the church choir and volunteer in the kitchen for many church dinners.

She enjoyed bowling with the Early Birds. Betty is survived by her three children, Paul F. Hudak, Robert B. Hudak, and Helen M. Hudak, all from Youngstown; three grandchildren, Brittany Hudak, Robyn (Michael) Nolfi and Cathryn Hudak; a great grandson, Donato. Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Louis F. Hudak, whom she married on August 19, 1950, died December 16, 1999, a daughter, Margaret A. Griffith; three sisters, Helen Parknavy, Margaret Hudak and Rose Ciavarella; two brothers, John Fashank and Geraldo Velasquez.
