A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Philip Rogers at 10 A.M. Saturday at St. Charles Church, for Edith Martin of Boardman, who passed away Tuesday evening after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Edith was born February 5, 1936 in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of Angelo and Alessandrina (Berardi) Falasco. She was a 1956 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.

For 27 years, she was a dedicated employee of J.C. Penney in the Southern Park Mall, where she served as the manager of the credit and catalog department for 10 years. Edith was a member of St. Charles Church. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking, baking, and making family dinners special.

Along with her husband Frank, whom she married July 11, 1959, she leaves to cherish her memory her four sons, Frank (Jill) Martin, David (Angell) Martin, Daniel (Kristin) Martin and Anthony (Rosa Anna) Martin and nine grandchildren Frank, Angela, Annamarie, Isabella, Alyssa, Lyndsay, Anthony, Giuliana, and Joseph. Besides her parents, Edith is preceded in death by her brother Gene and sister-in-law Rose Falasco. Friends may call from 4 to 7 Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market Street, Boardman.
