There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 5, 2018, celebrated by The Very Rev. John Sheridan, at St. Angela Merici Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown, for Catherine T. Reigrut, 99, who passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Boardman. Catherine was born September 19, 1918, in Youngstown, daughter of Joseph and Suzanna Magyar Matasek, she was a lifelong area resident.

She was a homemaker, who loved her gardening and was an avid bird watcher. Catherine was a member of Sacred Heart Church and its Ladies guild, she volunteered at the soup kitchen at the Church for Many years. She married her husband George Reigrut at St. Matthias Church on February 19, 1941, he passed away October 12, 1999.

Catherin leaves to cherish her memory her Daughter Georgia C. Ligotti of Leetonia, her sons, Charles E. (Mary Ruth) Reigrut of Boardman, Daniel J. (Mary Eloise) of Tx. and Lawrence P. (Jayne) of Austintown; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband Catherine was preceded in death by her son James David Reigrut, he passed May 6, 1999.

She also was preceded by her Siblings, Joseph Matasek; Mary Gabrick; Joan Semai; Sue Bagnall and Helen Novak. Family and friends may call at St. Angela Merici Church from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday Moring. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fox Funeral Home 4700 Market St. Boardman.

Catherine’s family has requested material tributes be made to Saint Angela Merici, Sacred Heart Church in her memory, 400 Lincoln Park Dr. Youngstown, Oh. 44506. Family and friends may visit www.
