Obituary for Vera W. Lyon Print Vera W. Lyon, 96, of Burns passed away January 25, 2019 at Cheyenne Lifecare Center. She was born October 26, 1922 in Meriden, WY to David and Rachel Stevens. Vera grew up on the homestead near Waunetta (near Meridan, WY).

Her education was at Sprager, small one room school near Meridan, and 9th grade in Cheyenne. She married Lewis T. Lyon on January 28, 1943 in Kimball, NE. She was a homemaker and farmer’s wife.

She was a member of Pleasant View Methodist Church near Burns. She enjoyed her family, gardening and animals. She is survived by her children, Lewis Gordon (Linda), Gary, Larry, Kathleen Lyon, and Karen (Tom) Schmit; grandchildren, Tammy (Scott), Tina (Chris), Julie, Kelly, Alan (Brittni), Karlton, and Michael (Bailey); great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Noel, Celeste, Elena, Samuel, Peter and Brielle; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis T. Lyon; parents and siblings, Leland, Pete, Margaret Hermann and Alice Seavers. Those who wish may contribute to the charity of their choice. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home followed by a reception and interment in Memorial Gardens.
