Obituary for Verna Hultgren (Roubideaux) Verna Elizabeth Roubideaux (Siers)-Hultgren was born on December 23, 1934 in Pine Ridge, SD to Vernie Roubideaux and Victoria Siers. Verna made her journey to the Spirit World on June 3, 2018 at the Regional Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City, SD. Verna attended Flandreau Indian School and completed college courses at Oglala Lakota College.

Verna worked as a nurse’s aide and also as a cook at the Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, SD. Verna is survived by her children, Veronica (Lonny) Dybdahl, Michael Hultgren both of Rapid City, SD, Brandi (James) Two Bulls of Lower Brule, SD, and Linda Two Bulls of Rapid City, SD; sisters, Mary Siers of Sioux Falls, SD and Rosemarie Krenz of Rapid City, SD; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. Verna was preceded in death by her parents, Vernie Roubideaux and Victoria Siers; children, Robert Hultgren, Mitchell Hultgren, Douglas Hultgren, Theresa Hultgren, and one child in infancy; sister, Aldine Bruning; brothers, Delmas Jumping Eagle, Jr. and Tommy Siers; grandchildren, Theresa Annette Hultgren, and Melissa Hultgren; grandparents, Jennie Bad Yellow Eyes and William Siers; and great grandparents, Broken Face & Weasel Bear.

Visitation Services: Visitation services will start at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Mother Butler Center in Rapid City, SD.
