Obituary for Verna Mae Suhr Verna Mae Suhr, 99, of Jackson, Missouri passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Jackson Manor. She was born December 17, 1918 in Cape Girardeau County, MO to Wilber Homer and Helen Mae Criddle Thompson. She and Kenneth John Suhr were married August 20, 1942 at Gordonville, MO.

He preceded her in death February 22, 1998. She graduated from Fruitland High School in 1937. She worked at the Jackson Hosiery Mill for 22 years.

She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church. Survivors include her three nephews, Dean (Van) Suhr, Paul (Susan) Suhr of Sedgewickville, Missouri; and Carl Suhr of Jackson, Missouri; great-niece, Lisa (George) Manning of Sedgewickville, Missouri; great-nephews, Darryl (Wanda) Suhr of Salem, Missouri; Gary Suhr of Sedgewickville, Missouri; Clay Suhr, Colby Suhr, Cole Suhr, Jarrod Suhr,and Justin Suhr, all of Oak Ridge, Missouri. She was also survived by numerous cousins and their families.

Friends may call 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Ford & Sons in Jackson. Funeral service will be at at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Ford & Sons in Jackson with the Bro. Jimmie Corbin officiating.

Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Memorial contributions may be given to New Mckendree United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.
