Vernon E. ‘Spanky’ Walters, 81, of West Newton, formerly of Pricedale passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at Excela Health, Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born June 24, 1937 in Pricedale, PA he was the son of the late Vernon W. and Susan M Rabatin Walters. Mr. Walters was retired from US Steel, Monessen, where he worked as a Rail Road Mechanic.

He is survived by three children Vernon G. Walters of Washington, Valerie S. Walters of Yukon, Darren Walters & wife Courtney of Henderson, NV; four grandchildren Chad, Melaina, Vernon M. & Alex; three great grandchildren Chad, Chase & Dylan and a sister Joan ‘Bootsie’ Schaum of Monongahela. He is preceded in death by a brother George ‘Jack’ Walters and a sister Loretta ‘Tootsie’ Malone. A casual memorial visitation will be held Friday from 9-11 am at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.
