Victor Carmine Esposito, 78, of Westbrook, passed away June 24, 2018. He was born February 28, 1940 in Portland to Vincent and Camella (Rumo) Esposito. Victor graduated from Portland High School in 1958.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from USM and from SMVTI with a degree in Building Construction. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Victor worked as Superintendent of the Parks and Public Buildings Department for the City of Portland and retired as owner of Millbrook Lawn Care.

Victor believed in giving everyone a chance and he treated everyone fairly. He loved his family completely and did his best to take care of everyone. He enjoyed watching the Patriots, Lifetime movies, and Law and Order.

He loved giving and getting practical jokes and was known for his infectious smile. He married Elaine “Penny” Slack in 1969 and they almost made it to 49 years of a very happy marriage. Victor leaves behind his wife, Penny; daughter, Michelle; daughter, Marie and her wife Adrienne; beloved granddaughter, Eden; brothers, Joseph and his wife Sally, Quido and his wife Theresa, and Richard and his wife Irene; sisters, Elizabeth Thibodeau, Patricia Regiacorte and her husband Gino, and Camilla Jelenik and her husband Tom; many nieces, nephews, and cousins with whom he was close; and his best friend of more than 70 years, Anthony Fusco and his husband David.

He was loved by many more than he could imagine. The family would like to thank Southern Maine Hospice who helped us care for Victor at home in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, 217 Landing Rd.
