Victoria Marie Lafferty (nee Land), 97, formally of New Sharon, NJ, passed away on February 18, 2019 at Cardinal Village, Washington Twp. , where she lived for the past 2 years 9 months. Born the youngest of 6 children in Philadelphia on August 10, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Walter & Anna (Okulska) Land.

She moved to New Sharon with her family at the age of 16 where she met William Lafferty Jr. and at the age of 19, they married in September of 1940. William (Goots) and Victoria (Vicki) were married 68 years when he passed away on Christmas Day, 2009. Surviving are 5 children, Dorothy L. wife of Raymond J. Bryant of Lancaster County, PA, JoAnn wife of John G. Andersen of New Sharon, William Lafferty III husband of Leola (Haines) of Cape May Court House, Marie wife of Curtis Brooks of Rainbow, TX & Walter Thomas Lafferty husband of Patricia (Haines) of Washington Twp.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren & 28 great grandchildren & 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her siblings John, Chester, Elenore, Irene & Sigmund, a grandson & an infant great grandson. Services and burial were private as per Victoria’s request.
