Vincent Charles Alderson Had a Lifelong Professional Commitment to Organ Recovery Vincent Charles Alderson, 52, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and former resident of Canonsburg passed away of an apparent heart attack on Monday June 11, 2018. He was born March 20, 1966 in Canonsburg the son of the late Charles Alderson, Jr. and Margaret Fortunato Alderson who resides Canonsburg. Mr. Alderson was a graduate of Canon-McMillan high School Class of 1984.

Following high school, he attended Akron University and then graduated from California U niversity of Pennsylvania. He enjoyed going to the gym to lift weights and work out daily. He loved to walk on Mikler Beach looking for shark’s teeth, ghost hunting in St. Augustine, FL and playing basketball with his son.

Mr. Alderson was an avid Pirates, Penguins and Steelers fan. While living in Florida he attended services at Church of 1122 on Jacksonville Beach. LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services of Jacksonville employed him as a coordinator.

He was affiliated with NATCO (The Organization for Transplant Professionals). He had been previously employed by the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE) in Pittsburgh. He was also previously employed as a paramedic by Canonsburg Ambulance Service, Washington Ambulance and Chair Service and by Washington Hospital in their emergency room.

Mr. Alderson became an organ donor upon his death, fulfilling his commitment to his cause of saving lives through organ donation. Mr. Alderson was a member of the Son’s of Italy in Canonsburg. Surviving are his daughter Addie Christine Alderson and son Andrew Vincent Alderson both of Washington.

Also surviving is a sister Rose Marie Tinivelli of Charleroi, and his Fiance Ruth Evelyn Mudrick of Jacksonville, FL. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins and his dog Koby. He enjoyed a special friendship with his fiances’ children Morgan Alexandra Mudrick, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Mudrick and Isabella Grace Mudrick.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Anthony Alderson and his grandparents Frank and Matilda Fortunato and Josephine and Charles Alderson, Sr. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 East College Street in Canonsburg. Departing prayers will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday June 19, 2018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church at 317 East Pike Street in Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray.
