Obituary for Vincent D. “Copper” Antonich Vincent Donald “Copper” Antonich, age 90, of Spring Lake passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Mercy Hospital. He was born April 25, 1928, in Calumet, to Vincent and Helen (Brozovich) Antonich, and married Anne Marie Kinsley on September 12, 1953, in Alexandria, Virginia. Vincent graduated from Calumet High School.

He served his country in the Army during WWII and continued serving in the Army National Guard. He worked for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers as procurement officer for 31 years. Vincent was a very active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

He was a life member of the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post # 28 in Grand Haven, where he served as past commander of Post # 28 and the 5th district past commander, and orchestrated the pasties sale for the Legion. Vincent was also a Life Member of the V.F.W. Post # 3900 in Calumet. His other interests were Fishing, traveling, deer, turkey, and rabbit hunting.

Vincent was a wonderful builder and made sets for Spring Lake Schools musicals, and was known to be able to fix about anything. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Anne Antonich of Spring Lake; three daughters: Kathy Vollmer of Spring Lake, Jeanne (Kevin) Reenders of Spring Lake, and Barbara (Phillip) Kindwall of Cherokee, Iowa; three grandchildren: Jonathan DeMull, Jacob Kindwall, and Josie Kindwall; and his sister, Betty Voight of Tigerton, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Morton, and son-in-law, Gerald Vollmer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake with Rev. David Gross officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post # 28 Honor Guard.

Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery in Calumet, Michigan. Memorial contributions to St. Mary’s Mary Light of Learning are appreciated.
